The Feldenkrais Method® empowers people of all ages to overcome pain and limitation, improve movement, coordination, vitality, and thinking. By accessing the remarkable capacity of the human brain to form new connections and patterns, students of the Feldenkrais Method can achieve remarkable levels of improvement in movement, functioning, and performance.
You can learn to:
The Feldenkrais Method has helped:
PRIVATE LESSONS: Functional Integration® sessions are custom designed to awaken the brain’s potential for reorganization, recovery and healing. We use gentle, non-invasive touch and verbal instruction to guide the student in a personalized movement process.
GROUP CLASSES: In Awareness Through Movement® classes, the teacher guides students through movements that explore daily functions such as reaching, turning, breathing, or walking. During these innovative and enjoyable classes, movement is transformed out of the realm of simple exercise, and into a conversation with the brain. Participants are called upon to think, listen, and to feel in an entirely new way. The brain and body learn, or "wake up" to greater ease, grace, power, and intelligence. Regardless of one’s current movement ability, participants find themselves becoming more flexible, strong, and coordinated, while limitations from pain or injury decrease. You must experience it to believe!

About Moshe Feldenkrais
MOSHE FELDENKRAIS, D. Sc. (1904-1984) was born in the Ukraine and immigrated to Israel at the age of thirteen. A brilliant engineer and physicist, he was educated at the Sorbonne in Paris, assisted Joliet-Curie in early nuclear research, and was selected by Professor Kano, the developer of Judo, to become the first Western Judo Master. With his broad repertoire of knowledge of the sciences, movement, psychology, learning theories, neuroscience and systems theory, Dr. Feldenkrais made revolutionary discoveries regarding consciousness, movement and human functioning.
He created The Feldenkrais Method, which evolved from his first training program in the 1960s to over 6000 practitioners worldwide and has benefited thousands of individuals, from the physically challenged to renowned performers.
"Feldenkrais represents a revolution in human health. Through this method we can learn to improve our living circumstances not only physically but also emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually." —Smithsonian Magazine
"I have long been intrigued by this subtle form of retraining the nervous system, which I recommend to patients whose movement has been restricted by injury, cerebral palsy, stroke, fibromyalgia, or chronic pain. I find it to be much more cost effective and useful than standard physical therapy. I also believe that the Feldenkrais Method can help older people achieve greater range of motion and flexibility, and help all of us feel more comfortable in our bodies." —Andrew Weil, MD, Author of Spontaneous Healing and Natural Health, Natural Medicine
